the current landscape for pregnant folks has never been more overwhelming.
it’s well known by now that the modern birth-industrial complex often makes it difficult for many folks to access safe, inclusive care.
this is especially true for folks who are neurodivergent, queer, and racialized.
it’s no wonder that there’s been a rise in recent years of folks asserting that the best course of action is an intervention free birth.
and, while this might create a false binary between a fully medicalized birth and an intervention free one, the reality is that both of these options create the same result:
they remove the agency from pregnant folks to decide for themselves.

what’s included
after purchase, you’ll receive immediate access to 5 full length modules, plus 2 bonus recordings: Affirmations for Childbirth and Focused Breathing Mini.
you’ll also receive worksheets to accompany each module.
in each recording, you’ll be gently guided into a state of calm, focused relaxation, where you’ll practice breath work and create your own imagery specially designed to help you deepen the bond between you and your baby, learn about the science of pregnancy and childbirth, and feel prepared to meet whatever turn your birthing takes.
you’ll be supported to release fears, decrease anxiety, and learn powerful tools for managing pain.
you can work through the program at your own pace. i typically suggesting starting around the end of the first trimester, but you could complete the program in as little as a couple weeks.
each audio track has been professionally recorded and edited for the best quality experience. all you need is a quiet space where you can relax comfortably, and a pair of headphones or a speaker.

cognitive behaviour therapy
structured support to reduce fear and anxiety, enhance pre-natal bonding, and address concerns about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting. CBT has been shown to be effective in reducing anxiety and depression, shortening labour duration, and reducing post natal complications. [1][2] this program draws from acceptance and commitment therapy, a type of CBT that utilizes mindfulness to shift recurrent patterns of thought and helps people connect to their values. acceptance and commitment therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment for pain management.[3]

hi, i’m sarah, a Registered Social Worker and Clinical Hypnotherapist.
over the past decade, i’ve had the opportunity to support folks of all genders and family configurations as they embarked on the transformative journey through pregnancy and child birth.
it has truly been an honour to be a witness and companion to this incredible experience. my clients have taught me so much and i am grateful for their feedback and input to develop this program.
i believe any method that brings your baby into the world in a way that is safe and healthy for you both couldn’t be anything but ‘natural.’
i developed this program with accessibility in mind – you can listen to it at your own pace, in your own time. and, this is the content i would typically deliver over 5 -6 appointments, all for less than the cost of one session with me.

Frequently Asked
is this only for vaginal delivery?
Nope! This program is designed for ANY birth plan – home or hospital. The final module is focused on labour and delivery, and there is an entire recording designed specifically for those who are planning for or expect a Cesarean.
when should i start the program
I typically recommend that folks wait until the end of their first trimester to begin the program.
how does it work?
Over the course of the 5 modules, you’ll be guided into a deeply relaxed state in which you’ll be open to suggestions. You’ll then be guided through various somatic exercises, visualizations and breathwork techniques to help shift your ideas and beliefs about pregnancy, childbirth, parenting and even your own body. Don’t be afraid though! You would never do anything in hypnosis that you wouldn’t normally – because the role of the subconscious mind is to protect you. And, this style of hypnosis is developed to support you in developing your intuition and to move towards a greater sense of trust in yourself and your ability to know what is right for you. You’ll also learn a lot about the body and science of pregnancy, because psycho-education is a key element of any successful hypnotherapy program. Armed with this newfound knowledge, my hope is you’ll come to learn that you already know exactly how to give birth.
i've had a difficult prior birth experience, is this program safe for me?
If you’ve had a prior birth experience that was difficult or traumatic, you have a high level of anxiety, or you have a history of medical trauma, i recommend you checking in with your usual mental health provider before you begin this program. you may find it helpful to have a few individual sessions with a counsellor ahead of time, or to have additional support as you work through the materials.

This program was made FOR YOU. It has been developed specifically to be suitable for all genders and family configurations. When you’re bringing a baby into your polycule or embarking on a journey of solo parenthood, this is for you.
Gender neutral language is used throughout and there are no references to concepts like the ‘divine feminine.’ Firmly grounded in the science of pregnancy and labour, this program utilizes evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, guided visualization, breathwork, and clinical hypnosis.
This program is also designed to support you in regaining a sense of agency over your own body so you can feel confident making the best decisions for you (and your baby) in the face of medical or societal pressure.
what does it feel like?
for some people hypnosis can feel a lot like a guided meditation. as you listen to the recordings you’ll feel yourself enter a state of calm, focused relaxation. some folks may find that their hypnotic experience takes them deeper than what they’ve previously experienced with meditation, however, you can trust that any suggestions will be beneficial to you regardless of how deep you go.
how do i access the materials?
Upon purchase, you’ll receive immediate access to all the recordings, a welcome guide to help you get the most out of the program, and worksheets to enhance each module. The audios can be streamed on any device that has internet access.
how long does it take to complete the program?
This program is designed to be completed over the 2nd and 3rd trimester, however, it can be completed in 5 weeks or less (one module a week). The modules progress through each stage of pregnancy alongside you, but you’ll probably find there are some recordings you’d like to repeat more than others. In total, the program contains over 4.5 hours of high quality recorded audio.
